I haven't gotten much from it but I hope I'll be able to continue to harvest because of the cold frame's protection.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00500390722832190990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7027132351549404291.post-23919071477025851892009-10-07T12:11:57.562-04:002009-10-07T12:11:57.562-04:00Is that a red stemmed chicory? They're still little seedlings right now but I'm excited to try them! We roasted some in the pizza oven this week, and it was incredible. Enjoy yours! I've heard so much about it. I like a good raw veggie. It's apparently good in salads, as Dan pointed out, but also plain or with a little side dip.<br />I think it's real pretty too !miss mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08779663826025791655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7027132351549404291.post-1549914388469776222009-10-05T16:16:22.742-04:002009-10-05T16:16:22.742-04:00You been harvesting some really nice kale. I wasn't sure what to think of my kohlrabi, it was good cut thin in salads but I grated some for coleslaw and in went all mushy. I never tried cutting it into match sticks for slaw though, that might have made the texture better.Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07743102355360873845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7027132351549404291.post-23880647503297783182009-10-05T13:28:15.915-04:002009-10-05T13:28:15.915-04:00I keep thinking I ought to try kohlrabi. So at least I know I don't hate it, or that would be all I remembered. Mexican vegetable soup sounds good.Daphne Gouldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17305049560953735881noreply@blogger.com
