I also harvested 12 oz of carrots for a baked chinese chicken dish. I also picked two nice heads of bok choy which weighed 5 oz. The leeks remaining are smaller, I picked 3 oz of them this week.

The kale is really beautiful and the bok Choy looks totally yummy! I skipped growing beets this year in part to make room for some other crops but also because we are not heavy consumers of them. I need to add a small patch next year though, as I did end up missing them ultimately. I just have to find that happy balance of "just enough".
Your beets are beautiful! I didn't grow them this year. "The Italian" is not a big fan of them. I just love pickled beets! I am definitely planting some next year.
Your Kale looks wonderful! I am envious...I never got around to planting my Kale this year and now I am having withdrawl :/
Your harvest looks just great! Beet gnocchi? Sounds delicous! Will I find the recipe here on your blog?
Have a great week,
Charlotta
Nice harvest, those beets are amazingly huge! Great job!

What a nice variety you are getting out of the garden this time of year!
I'm so impressed by the size of your beets! They're one of the crops that continue to elude us - never sizing up well. It's been suggested that we may have a mineral imbalance in our soil, but I haven't had a chance to look into that idea more.
What exactly are beet gnocchi?
I agree, we will need a recipe for the beet gnocchi! And is your pickled beet recipe on the blog as well? I'm the only on in my family that eats them as well and I've skipped growing them until now. I am excited about pulling my first beet soon!
BEAUTIFUL nice big beets!
Pretty harvest. I love the kale. Mine is just sitting there and not growing. Maybe it will survive the winter and will give me spring greens, because I'm certainly not getting any this year.
All your veggies look wonderful, but I'm envious of your beets. I just can't seem to grow them. I had my soil analyzed and everything was good, but I just am having a bad time with root crops. Keep up the good work in your garden!
