I also harvested chicory/italian dandelion and leek for a quiche.
Another 1 lb 9 oz of tomatoes ripened, along with a few hot peppers from the indoor pepper plants.
And I picked 2 pounds of brussels sprouts to accompany a dinner of smoked pork tenderloin and our own mashed potatoes.
Total this week: 4.62 pounds
Total this year: 448.5 pounds

Beautiful and most impressive November harvest Emily, well done. I find it so lovely that we still are able to harvest from our gardens and put food on the table.
Wow, that is a lot of variety. THe dandelion greens look wonderful.

Such lovely Brussels Sprouts! I didn't grow them this year so I'll have to admire what others grow. Nice looking greens too.

I agree with Tyra that it's really good that we can grow our own food for our tables. I think it's fulfilling. I love to see my little grandbabies eating the veggies from my garden!
Your Brussel Sprouts are wonderful! This is my first year growing them and they are still small. The plants are big and healthy though. Do you know how long they will survive in the cold?

No harvest post for me this week. Harvesting is done.
I did not grow brussel sprouts this year to make room for some other desired crops - and I am missing them terribly since this is the season we usually are relishing them. There really is no comparison to fresh home grown sprouts -- cooked well and immediately after harvesting. I think more people would really like them if they tasted them served garden fresh and not cooked to death!

Lovely Brussels sprouts, I started my seeds too late to get a harvest this fall, if it survives the cold I may get lucky and get something next spring.
Your sprouts are looking real good this season! Mine are still tiny, I am almost ready to give up on them.
Those Brussels sprouts look wonderful. I've yet to grow them. I tried seeds once but they didn't germinate.

Beautiful! I'm envious of your Brussels sprouts. I haven't grown them in years (I have a tiny garden) and they're my favorite, favorite vegetable! I can't get enough of them.
